He is the author of three books about doing business in Asia and of various articles and reports on legal and business subjects. Global Business Development Intern (Remote)

Time Commitment: 5 to 20 hours per week

Alariss Global is a tech-enabled international talent and skills marketplace startup. Our mission is to reverse brain drain by connecting global leaders to high-impact roles in the emerging markets, and to foster greater international and intercultural collaboration. Our clients include large tech companies, universities, and nonprofits based in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. The interns will report directly to the CEO, who is a Harvard College, Princeton University and Stanford Graduate School of Business alum. The team includes multilingual graduates of Harvard, MIT, Princeton, and Stanford with experiences at Microsoft, McKinsey, the World Bank, and other leading organizations. An Alariss internship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior management in an exciting and fast-growing industry.

The intern will work on a variety of projects related to international expansion, depending upon background and experience. The intern will research target customers or partners using online search, LinkedIn, TechCrunch, Crunchbase, and various news sources and will reach out with highly personalized messaging. Understanding of the tech industries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East and the ability to speak another language are a big plus.

Growth Marketing Intern (Remote)

Location: Remote, Time Commitment: 5 to 20 hours per week

The intern will be responsible for content marketing and social media marketing on the topics of international development, the future of work, technology trends in the emerging markets, particularly Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, cross-border commerce, and global labor markets. Knowledge of a foreign language is an advantage.

The successful candidate will play an integral role in building and engaging our client base via demand and lead generation campaigns, and in creating effective strategies that will promote the long-term growth of Alariss. You will develop and drive marketing content onto the web or through social media and alternative media to reach our target markets to drive product demand via multiple channels including social and email. You will analyze web traffic and other metrics, and report on performance to management teams. Preferred applicant has experience in a marketing role and proficient with analytic tools.

Launch of new EdTech Product: Alariss will soon be introducing a new mentoring product to the Asia Pacific market, which pairs Silicon Valley/Finance/Management Consulting mentors with job seekers, helping them develop their professional skills and expand their job search. Interns would assist Alariss in developing a marketing strategy for launching this product in the Asia Pacific region.

The ideal candidate will be innovative, team oriented, an effective communicator, have a desire to participate in change, and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities. We are seeking someone with a demonstrated history of successful demand generation across media channels and using customer data to identify and prioritize opportunities. An understanding of, and passion for, technology is highly desired.
